| Throughout the centuries, bamboo has inspired the imagination
of artists, while men of letters have written poetry and prose
to express their admiration for the purity and elegance of
bamboo. They compared the qualities of bamboo to those of
man, and Su Dongpo attributed his literary inspiration to
bamboo. Bamboo was also a favorite subject of noted Chinese
painters of past dynasties.
Bamboo, a material for arts and crafts and a symbol of
integrity, has enriched the traditional Chinese culture,
and become an everlasting subject for scholars and artists
Maintenance
A. Bamboo crafts should be kept in the dry and clean condition.
Preferably hanging on the wall.
B. Keep away from water. In case it gets wet, wipe with
dry and clean towel, expose under slight sun light or sunrise
or sunset, then apply with non-colour shoes-polish, and
keep it till try. Do not keep under strong sun light, otherwise,
it will be out of shape.
C. After long time of using, it probably gets moisture
or goes mouldy, take care in the same way as above B.
